NC State Concludes Gator Fall Invite

GAINESVILLE, Fla. - The NC State men's tennis team finished competition at the Gator Fall Invite on Sunday, competing against UCF.
The Wolfpack began the day with a sweep of the Knights in doubles play. Robin Catry and Damien Salvestre paired up to get a quick 8-3 win over Bogdan Pavel and JC Roddick, and Martins Rocens and Collin Shick claimed victory over Kento Yamada and Bryan Triana, 8-6. Fons Van Sambeek and Braden Shick took down Quinn Snyder and Cooper White by the widest margin of victory with their 8-2 win.
In singles, Catry recorded his second win of the Gator Fall Invite with an easy 6-2, 6-1 victory over Trey Hilderbrand.
Braden Shick posted a win by retirement over a ranked opponent, No. 88 Yamada, when the score was 4-6, 6-3, 4-1 in Shick's favor.
Rocens' first singles win of the weekend came against Pavel, 4-6, 6-3, 6-2, and Van Sambeek earned a 7-6(1), 6-4 victory over Triana.
