RALEIGH – The NC State baseball team has scheduled a fall scrimmage with Tobacco Road rival Duke on October 22 at the Durham Bulls Athletic Park, home of the Durham Bulls, the AAA-affiliate of the Tampa Bay Rays.
First pitch is slated for 5 p.m. from Durham, N.C., and tickets will be on sale to the public at the Durham Bulls ticket office.
The Wolfpack is coming off a College World Series appearance, while the Blue Devils are the defending Atlantic Coast Conference Champions after topping NC State, 1-0, in the title game at Truist Park in Charlotte.
Starting in the fall of 2018, the NCAA allowed Division I baseball teams to play two fall scrimmages against outside opponents without counting against the 56-game spring schedule.
At this time, there is not a second scrimmage with an outside opponent scheduled for the Pack.
