Rivers to be Featured Speaker at the Charlotte Touchdown Club’s “Legends of the Game”

RALEIGH, N.C. - Wolfpack legend Philip Rivers will be the featured speaker at the Charlotte Touchdown Club's "Legends of the Game" luncheon on Thursday, July 15 at the Sheraton Charlotte Hotel. The event will begin at noon and end at 1:30 p.m., with a silent auction scheduled from 11:15 – 11:45 a.m.
Rivers, the fourth overall selection in the 2004 NFL Draft, retired after 17 NFL seasons last year and is now the head coach at St. Michael Catholic High School in Fairhope, Ala. During his NC State career (2000-03), he shattered almost every NC State and ACC passing record, starting 51 straight games and throwing for 95 touchdowns. He led the Wolfpack to four bowl games and compiled 13,484 passing yards.
