Butler Named Baseball America All-American

Jonny Butler earned his second All-America honor of the 2021 season on Thursday morning when he was named a Third Team All-American by Baseball America. Butler earned NCBWA Second Team honors on Wednesday afternoon.

As one of the hottest hitters in the nation throughout the 2021 season, Butler finished the regular-season with an ACC-best .406 batting average and 11 consecutive multi-hit games to collect First Team All-CC honors. He was named First Team All-Region by ABCA/Rawlings on Wednesday.

Through the NCAA Super Regionals, Butler ranks third on the team with 13 home runs, nine of which have come since April 25. He started 49 games this season in the outfield and leads the team with multi-RBI outings and ranks second with 23 multi-hit outings.
