Women's Soccer Places Five on All-ACC Academic Team

GREENSBORO, N.C. - The NC State women's soccer program has tabbed five spots on the 2020 All-ACC Academic Team, as announced by the ACC office on Wednesday.
The accolades equal the number of All-ACC Academic laurels garnered by the 2019 team and were attained this season by Maria Echezarreta, Lulu Guttenberger, Leyah Hall-Robinson, Jameese Joseph and Toni Starova.
Guttenberger's honors are the third of her career, the most of any NC State honoree this year, while Joseph earns the accoalde for the second time. Echezarreta, Hall-Robinson and Starova are each first-time honorees.
2020-21 Women's Soccer All-ACC Academic Team
Maria Echezarreta, So., GK, Sport Management
Lulu Guttenberger, Gr., D, Liberal Studies
Leyah Hall-Robinson, So., F, Psychology
Jameese Joseph, So., F, Business Administration
Toni Starova, Jr., M, Psychology
In order to be named to the All-ACC Academic Team, a student-athlete must have a 3.0 grade point average for the previous semester and a 3.0 cumulative average during his or her academic career. Athletic achievements during the most recent season are also considered in selecting the All-ACC Academic Team members.
