INDIANAPOLIS – The seventh-ranked NC State women's tennis team will be represented by a pair of singles players and two doubles duos at the upcoming 2021 NCAA Women's Tennis Singles and Doubles Championships.
Anna Rogers and Alana Smith earned at-large bids to compete in the 64-player singles draw. The pair will also compete together in the doubles draw, as will Adriana Reami and Jaeda Daniel.
The selections mark the first time in program history having multiple singles players in the national draw, as does it mark the team's first time with two doubles pairs earning bids. It is also just the third time in program history that NC State has been represented in both the singles and doubles championships events in the same season.
Rogers is the No. 6 overall seed in the singles draw, and Daniel and Reami are a top-eight seed in doubles. Both of the seedings automatically garner those players status as All-Americans.
Rogers and Smith make their second-straight NCAA Championships appearance as a pair, with Rogers' doubles selection making it four national tournaments in a row that she has competed in. The Stamford, Conn., native also earned back-to-back singles appearances with this season's selection.

Rogers and Smith were both named to the All-ACC Teams following impressive campaigns in both singles and doubles. In singles, Rogers reached a career-best and program-best No. 5 ranking on March 24 where she stayed for four weeks in a row, and Smith was ranked in the national top 30 all year.
Rogers earned her 100th career singles win in January, becoming just the second player in program history to do so and the first to own 100+ wins in both singles and doubles. She defeated 11 ranked singles opponents, with her highest ranked win of the season coming in straight sets against No. 21 Carolyn Campana of Wake Forest.
Smith enters the NCAA Championships having won seven of her last 10 matches of the season, with three of those victories coming in straight sets. She defeated nine singles opponents that were ranked at the time of competition, which included beating No. 19 Cameron Morra of North Carolina.

In doubles, both Wolfpack pairs have been ranked in the national top 20 for the entirety of the 2021 dual match campaign. Daniel and Reami will make their NCAA Championships debut after reaching a career-best No. 4 as a pair earlier this season. They went 20-5 on the year and 12-4 in dual matches, defeating six nationally-ranked pairs on their way to posting those records.
Rogers and Smith went 20-8 at the top doubles spot for the Pack. The pair put together a 14-5 record in dual matches and a 9-3 mark in ACC play. Of their eight victories against ranked foes, three came against opponents that were ranked in the national top 10.
The singles and doubles championships will be played at the USTA National Campus in Lake Nona, Fla., from May 23-28 following the conclusion of the team championships on May 22. The draw for the individual competition will be released on Saturday, May 22. NC State opens NCAA Championships action at home on Friday, May 7 at 3 p.m. as its hosts VCU.
