Tyler McDonough Earns Collegiate Baseball National Player Of The Week Honors

TUCSON, Ariz. – Sophomore Tyler McDonough of the NC State baseball team was named one of Collegiate Baseball's National Players of the Week, as announced by the publication on Monday.
The honor follows a big weekend for the center fielder at the plate, batting .438 in the Wolfpack's series win at Wake Forest with seven hits (including three home runs) and seven runs batted in. He compiled a 1.000 slugging percentage and .471 on-base percentage in the series.
Additionally, McDonough matched his career best in a single game on Sunday in the team's 15-8 rubber match victory as he went 4-for-6 with two home runs, four RBIs and four runs scored.
Including the Pack's 7-2 win at Appalachian State, McDonough batted .450 for the week with nine hits (four homers), eight RBIs, seven runs scored, a 1.050 slugging percentage and .500 on-base percentage.
The Liberty Township, Ohio native is on a 53-game reached base streak dating back to last season, which is the longest currently held by a Division I player and it is the second-longest in program history since 1999. He is additionally on a six-game hit streak, which is highlighted by six of his team-leading 12 home runs on the year.
