Seventh Pack defensive lineman drafted in last four NFL Drafts
RALEIGH, N.C. – 2021 NC State All-American Alim McNeill became the latest #PackPro, as the former Pack defensive tackle was selected by the Detroit Lions in the 2021 NFL Draft. McNeill was selected in the third round, the No.72 pick overall.
In his final season with the Pack, McNeill was named an Associated Press All-America second-team selection in 2021. He was the first Wolfpack defensive tackle to earn All-American honors since Ron Carpenter in 1968. McNeill was also named both an ACC and AP first-team conference selection, and was a PFF first-team All-American selection as well.
Over the last four NFL Drafts (2018-21), a total of seven former Wolfpack defensive linemen have had their names called.Â
