Rogers, Smith, Reami Placed on 2021 All-ACC Teams

GREENSBORO, N.C. – Three members of the seventh-ranked NC State women's tennis team (16-5) were recognized as 2021 All-ACC honorees, as announced by the league office on Thursday. The Pack has had at least two all-conference players for four completed seasons in a row, and the 2021 dual campaign marks the first time in program history that three NC State women's tennis players have earned All-ACC status in the same season.
Rogers earned First Team status for the second time in a row, as did Smith with her Second Team laurels. Rogers became the first player in team history to be a four-time All-ACC honoree. Reami was also honored for the first time since the 2018 campaign as she was tabbed to the Third Team.
Anna Rogers • Fifth-Year Senior • Stamford, Conn.
- 2021 singles record: 19-6, 8-5 in ACC play
- 2021 doubles record: 20-8, 9-3 in ACC play
- Back-to-back First Team honoree and four-time All-ACC honoree in her career
- 151 career doubles wins ranks as the most for a single player in ACC history (according to available records)
- Earned 100th career singles win in January, becoming just the second player in program history to do so and the first to own 100+ wins in singles and doubles
- Reached career-best and program-best No. 5 singles ranking on March 24 and spent four weeks in a row at that spot
- Ranked in the national top 15 of the doubles rankings for the entire season
- Defeated 11 singles foes that were ranked at the time of competition, with her highest ranked win of the season coming in straight sets over then-No. 21 Carolyn Campana
- Won first 11 singles matches of the season
- Played at the No. 1 doubles spot with Smith, where they went 14-5 in dual matches and defeated eight nationally-ranked pairs; three of those ranked wins were against top 10 opponents
Alana Smith • Junior • Fort Washington, Md.
- 2021 singles record: 16-7, 9-4 in ACC play
- 2021 doubles record: 20-8, 9-3 in ACC play
- Back-to-back Second Team honoree after also garnering the honors during her rookie campaign in 2019
- Ranked in the national top 30 all season in singles and the national top 15 all year in doubles
- Defeated nine singles opponents that were ranked at the time of competition
- Beat then-No. 19 Cameron Morra of North Carolina for her highest ranked victory of the season
- Won seven of her last 10 singles matches, with three of those victories coming in straight sets
- Played at the No. 1 doubles spot with Rogers, where they went 14-5 in dual matches and defeated eight nationally-ranked pairs; three of those ranked wins were against top 10 opponents
Adriana Reami • Fifth-Year Senior • Miami, Fla.
- 2021 singles record: 16-9, 9-4 in ACC play
- 2021 doubles record: 20-5, 5-4 in ACC play
- Two-time All-ACC honoree after also being recognized on the Third Team in 2018
- Reached career-best No. 4 national doubles ranking with partner Jaeda Daniel; spent the entire season ranked in the national top 20 in doubles
- Remains the winningest singles player in NC State women's tennis history with 124 career victories
- Defeated two singles opponents that were ranked at the time of competition
- Took down then-No. 52 Rebeka Mertena of Tennessee for her highest ranked win of the year; helped the Pack clinch a victory over a ranked opponent in the early season
- Played at the No. 2 doubles spot with Daniel, where they went 12-4 in dual matches and defeated six nationally-ranked pairs
NC State now awaits the NCAA Tournament Selection Show, which is set to air on NCAA.com on Monday, May 3 at 6 p.m. The selections for the NCAA Singles and Doubles Championships will be announced the following day on Tuesday, May 4.
