Pack Moves Up to Eighth in Golfstat Team Rankings

The NC State men's golf team is ranked eighth in the most recent Golfstat team rankings that were released on Tuesday night.

The Pack has won four consecutive tournaments with a combined score in the wins of 101-under par.
In its most recent outing, NC State set a program-record with a score of 51-under par to win the Stitch Intercollegiate held at Cary's MacGregor Downs Country Club. Christian Salzer (2nd; -14) Maximilian Steinlechner (t-3rd; -13), Benjamin Shipp (t-5th; -12) and Easton Paxton (t-5th; -12) all finished in the top-five of the Stitch.

NC State started its hot streak at the General Hackler Championship (March 14-16) in Myrtle Beach and then dominated the field at the 41st-annual Schenkel Invitational (March 19-21) winning by 27 shots.

At the Hootie at Bulls Bay (March 28-30), the Pack showed it could mount a comeback as NC State was tied for sixth after one round of play before overtaking the field in the second and third rounds to win by two shots.

The Pack returns to action Friday, April 23 when it begins play at the ACC Championship held at the Capital City Club in Atlanta.

The ACC Championship will once again feature a loaded field. Four teams are ranked in the top eight of the most recent Golfstat team rankings and 10 of the 12 teams in the ACC are ranked in the top-36 of the Golfstat rankings.
