Five from Wolfpack Squad Named to All-ACC Academic Team

NC State's five selections marks most in program history
GREENSBORO, N.C. – All five members of NC State women's basketball's starting lineup earned spots on the 2021 All-ACC Academic Team, as announced by the Atlantic Coast Conference office on Wednesday morning.
The five selections marked the most in a single season in program history. Jakia Brown-Turner, Kai Crutchfield, Elissa Cunane, Kayla Jones and Raina Perez were all honored for their successes on the court and in the classroom. Cunane and Jones are both two-time honorees, while Brown-Turner, Crutchfield and Perez earned the nod for the first time in their Wolfpack careers.

NC State earned the No. 2 seed at the upcoming ACC Tournament and opens postseason play in Greensboro, N.C., on Friday, March 5 at 6 p.m. The Wolfpack will take on the winner of the game between No. 7 seed Virginia Tech and No. 10 seed Miami. Friday's game will be broadcast live on the ACC's Regional Sports Networks.

- Member of the 2019 All-ACC Academic Team and 2020 ACC Honor Roll
- Named to the Dean's List each of the last two semesters
- Unanimous First Team All-ACC selection each of the last two seasons
Kayla Jones (Senior)
- Major: Sport Management
- Cumulative GPA: 3.325
- Second season in a row being named All-ACC Academic
- Named to ACC Honor Roll in 2018 and 2020
- First Team All-ACC selection by the league's head coaches and Second Team All-ACC selection by the Blue Ribbon Panel
Raina Perez (Graduate)
- Major: Leadership and Volunteer Management
- Cumulative GPA: 3.778
- Honorable Mention All-ACC selection by the Blue Ribbon Panel
