Babelis and Barkai Named ACC Co-Doubles Team of the Week

GREENSBORO, N.C. - Tadas Babelis and Yannai Barkai have been named Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) Co-Doubles Team of the Week, as announced by the conference office on Tuesday.

The honors come after a two-win weekend for the duo, the first victory coming in a 6-4 decision over Florida State's Alex Knaff and Sebastian Arcila. Babelis and Barkai were the first members of the team with a win in the match and assisted in NC State clinching the doubles point. The Wolfpack won the match in a 4-0 decision.

The second victory marked the highest-ranked win of the season for the pair as they took down No. 22 Franco Aubone and Benjamin Hannestad of Miami 6-4, and the win was the first doubles one of the day for NC State. The squad went on to clinch not only the doubles point but the match, defating No. 44 Miami 4-1.

The Wolfpack goes on the road, traveling to No. 14 South Carolina Friday, Mar. 19 for a 1 p.m. match.
