Pack Football Adds Pair

RALEIGH, N.C. - NC State Football has added two more players to its list of incoming players for 2021: specialists Alex McLaughlin from Matthews, N.C. and Caden Noonkester from Waxhaw, N.C.

McLaughlin, a 5'10, 220-pound long snapper, played that position and on the offensive line for two-time state champion Weddington High School. He was a three-year starter and an all-conference performer at both positions. He earned a five-star ranking from Rubio Long Snapping.

A 6'6, 220-pound punter/kicker, Noonkester attends Marvin Ridge High School where he was a two-year starter. The Charlotte Area Punter of the Year in 2019, he garnered second-team all-state honors that year as well. He posted a 46.4 yard punting average and 80% of his kickoffs resulted in touchbacks.
