Catry Named UTR/ITA Player of the Week

TEMPE, ARIZ. - Sophomore Robin Catry has been named the UTR/ITA Player of the Week, as announced by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) on Wednesday.
The honors are the first UTR/ITA Player of the Week laurels for Catry, who additionally earned Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) Doubles Team of the Week with Tadas Babelis on Tuesday.
The ITA began its National Player of the Week program in October 2019, and Catry is the second student-athlete in program history to earn the honor.Â

Catry earned the laurels after a standout dual match effort against No. 12 Georgia on Sunday. The Lille, France, native defeated eighth-ranked Trent Bryde and Tyler Zink in doubles competition with Babelis. The pair's victory was one of two doubles wins on the day that earned the doubles point for NC State.
In singles action against the Bulldogs, Catry cruised to a 6-2, 6-2 win over Baptiste Anselmo. The victory was the Wolfpack's first singles win of the match.
