Wolfpack Ranked No. 16 in Oracle/ITA Rankings

TEMPE, ARIZ. - The NC State men's tennis team moved up in the Oracle/ITA rankings, checking in at No. 16, as announced by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) on Wednesday.

The higher ranking comes as a result of the Wolfpack's 2-0 start to conference play. The team took down Louisville, 4-0, for its first Atlantic Coast Conference win of 2021 on Feb. 19 before claiming a 5-2 victory over Notre Dame on Feb. 21. NC State took the doubles point in both matches, and in action against Notre Dame No. 7 Alexis Galarneau defeated sixth-ranked Richard Ciamarra 6-0, 6-1.

Galarneau was named ACC Player of the Week on Feb. 23 after his performances at the matches.

UP NEXT
NC State continues league action as it welcomes No. 4 Virginia to the J.W. Isenhour Tennis Center Friday, Feb. 26. The Wolfpack will additionally compete against Virginia Tech Feb. 28 in Raleigh, N.C.
