RALEIGH – The NC State Rifle team has announced the addition of Katie Tedeschi to the Wolfpack. Tedeschi is set to join the Pack in Fall 2021.
"It was a challenging year for recruiting, with no visits and limited competitions," said head coach Emily Holsopple. "As a coach I was extremely hesitant to bring on someone new after having limited interaction. With that being said, I am 100% confident in Katie and what she brings to the team. Katie's work ethic, drive and positive attitude will continue to grow the culture we are developing here. She is going to be a great fit with the team and I see her having a lot of success here at NC State. We couldn't be more excited to have Katie as a part of our Pack!"
Tedeschi is an outstanding competitor who was qualified for the Junior Olympics two-times and helped her team win first place in air rifle at the AMU Nationals in 2020. Her team took third in 2021 at the NARJC and she placed on the podium in both smallbore and air rifle in the 2020 Colorado State Junior Olympics.
A Colorado Springs, Colo. native, Tedeschi is an honor roll student at Pine Creek High School and plans to major in animal science at NC State. Both of Tedeschi's parents were student-athletes at Radford.
