Softball Announces 2022 Schedule

Jennifer Patrick-Swift Releases 55-game schedule
RALEIGH – NC State softball head coach Jennifer Patrick-Swift has released the 55-game 2022 schedule on Monday morning.
The Wolfpack opens the 2022 slate in Florida as the team will take part in the River City Leadoff Tournament, hosted by North Florida and Jacksonville. NC State faces Western Carolina (11 a.m.) and Winthrop (1:30 p.m.) to begin its season on Friday, Feb. 11 at Jacksonville. On Saturday, the Pack will rematch Winthrop at North Florida before taking on North Florida in the evening. The final NC State matchup at the season-opening tournament is Jacksonville on Sunday, Feb. 13.
Following the River City Leadoff Tournament, NC State will play 17 of its next 18 contests at home at Dail Softball Stadium. The Wolfpack begins its 13-game home stand with the Wolfpack Classic from Feb. 18-20. NC State's home opener is set for Friday, Feb. 18 against Lehigh at 12:30 p.m.
The Pack will conclude day one of the Wolfpack Classic with a 3 p.m. bout against Fairfield, with the rematch set for Saturday at 3 p.m. Following the Fairfield game on Saturday, NC State will battle Mount St. Mary's at 5:30 p.m. before ending the Wolfpack Classic with a 12:30 p.m. game against Mount St. Mary's on Sunday, Feb. 20.
The first midweek game of the season is scheduled for Tuesday, Feb. 22 at Dail Softball Stadium at 5 p.m. against UNC Greensboro. From Feb. 25-27 the Pack will host the NC State Invitational, welcoming Bowling Green (Feb. 25), Central Connecticut State (Feb. 25-27) and Delaware (Feb. 26-27) to Raleigh.
NC State will play its final two games before conference action on March 1 & 2, facing Villanova at home and Elon on the road, respectively. The Pack kicks off its Atlantic Coast Conference slate at home against Syracuse on March 4-6. The Wolfpack takes a quick step outside of conference action to face NC Central on Tuesday, March 8 at Dail Softball Stadium.
The first road ACC weekend is slated for March 11-13 as NC State makes the quick visit to Durham to take on 2021 ACC Champion Duke. The Pack returns home for a three-game series against Virginia on March 18-20 before playing Campbell on Tuesday, March 22.
The Tobacco Road rivalry against UNC is slated for March 25-27 in Chapel Hill. NC State will host back-to-back midweek games for the first time in the 2022 season on March 29 & 30 at 5 p.m. as the team welcomes UNC Wilmington and Charlotte, respectively.
Louisville comes to Raleigh to open action in April as the Pack takes on the Cardinals on April 1-3. NC State leans out of conference for its next five games beginning with a Wednesday contest against Longwood on April 6 at 5 p.m. The Wolfpack will play ETSU and South Carolina on both April 8 & 9 in Columbia, S.C.
The final two away ACC weekends are against Georgia Tech and Boston College. NC State will make the trip to Atlanta on April 15-17 while taking on the Eagles in Chestnut Hill, Mass., on April 22-24. In between those two road trips, the Pack will host ECU on Wednesday, April 20 at 5 p.m.
Norfolk State serves as NC State's final non-conference opponent of the regular season with the teams playing a doubleheader at Dail Softball Stadium on April 27 beginning at 1 p.m. The Wolfpack concludes its regular season slate against Florida State on May 6-8 at home.
