Camacho Named ACC Wrestler of the Week

RALEIGH, N.C. – R-So. Jakob Camacho has been named the ACC Wrestler of the Week after his win in last Sunday's matchup of ranked 125-pounders helped No. 5 NC State to a 25-10 road victory at Appalachian State.

The fifth-ranked Camacho got the Wolfpack started with a 5-3 decision over 30th-ranked Caleb Smith. Camacho scored both takedowns in the bout, one in the first period and one in the third period. The Danbury, Conn., native improved to 6-0 on the season, including a 3-0 mark in duals.

The Wolfpack's next competition comes next Monday and Tuesday (Dec. 20-21), when it travels to Destin, Florida, for the Collegiate Duals.
