Drake Thomas Named ACC Linebacker of the Week

Pack’s MLB scored first career TD

RALEIGH, N.C. – Drake Thomas was named the ACC Linebacker of the Week after helping the Pack to a 41-17 win over Syracuse this past weekend.

Thomas led NC State with eight tackles in only 60 snaps. He also added 2.5 tackles for loss and a pair of sacks.

The biggest highlight of the game was his second quarter interception, which was his third of the season, which he returned 38 yards for a touchdown. He earned a 91.7 grade from Pro Football Focus, top among all Power-5 linebackers in Week 12.

Thomas earns the award for the second time this season. He was also honored after the Pack's win over Louisville when he recorded a career-best 15 tackles.
