RALEIGH, N.C. - Wolfpack quarterback Devin Leary has been named one of five finalists for the 2021 Johnny Unitas Golden Arm Award presented by A. O. Smith. The finalists for this annual honor, given to the national's top college quarterback, were chosen from an original field of 64.
Leary has thrown 29Â touchdown passes with multiple games left to play this season, the fifth-best mark in school history. He leads the ACC in passing efficiency in conference games with a 157.25 mark, while his 21 TDs against ACC foes also leads the league.
The Sicklerville, N.J., native is the only QB in school history to throw for four or more TDs against four ACC opponents in the same season and the only player to throw for four or more in three consecutive games.
Named after the man many refer to as the greatest quarterback ever to play the game of football, the prestigious Golden Arm Award is presented annually to the top upperclassman quarterback set to graduate with their class.
