RALEIGH, N.C. - The Manning Award, sponsored by the Allstate Sugar Bowl, announced 15 additions to its 2021 Watch List on Friday. Among the list was NC State starting QB Devin Leary.
Â
Leary has helped the Pack to a 5-1 start to the season, and a national ranking of No. 18 this week. He was completed 67.3 percent of his passes this season (140-of-208), for 1,534 yards and 15 touchdowns. He has thrown only two INTs, ranking second in the ACC among starting QBs.
Â
After announcing 32 quarterbacks to watch during the preseason, the Manning Award opted to increase its spotlighted players based on the many outstanding performances during the first half of the year.
Â
Finalists for the honor will be determined by a selected panel of national media covering college football, as well as each of the Mannings. That list will be released on Thursday, December 2 and the winner is scheduled to be announced following the College Football Playoff National Championship.
