RALEIGH – NC State women's tennis head coach Simon Earnshaw has released the remainder of his team's 2021 dual match schedule, as announced Wednesday afternoon.
Including its already-played matches against then-No. 14 South Carolina and then-No. 18 UCF, the Wolfpack's schedule features matches against 10 opponents that are ranked in or receiving votes in the most recent Oracle/ITA Team Top 25.
Due to current state guidelines regarding venue capacity limits, fans will not be permitted at home matches. NC State Athletics will continue to review capacity guidelines throughout the season and will communicate updates as they are available.
NC State is set to wrap up its non-conference slate with three more matches, all played at home. It hosts Appalachian State this coming Sunday, Jan. 31 and will also welcome Old Dominion (Feb. 12) and No. 25 Tennessee (Feb. 13).
The Pack then hits the road for three-straight duals to open its conference slate as it travels to No. 16 Wake Forest (Feb. 20), No. 8 Florida State (Feb. 26) and Miami (Feb. 28).
To start out the month of March, NC State will host its ACC home opener on March 6 versus Clemson and will turn around to welcome Georgia Tech to Raleigh the next day on March 7.
The Wolfpack alternates home and road weekends for the remainder of its season. It is set to travel to Louisville (March 12) and Notre Dame (March 13) before hosting Boston College (March 19) and Syracuse (March 21). The team takes on a pair of local top-10 foes on the road in No. 10 Duke (April 1) and No. 1 North Carolina (April 3) and then will wrap up its regular season at home against Virginia Tech (April 9) and No. 8 Virginia (April 11).
NC State kicks off postseason action at the 2021 ACC Championships, which will be played in Rome, Ga., this season. The tournament runs April 21-25, and the 2021 NCAA Championships will begin in May, with team competition taking place prior to the singles and doubles tournaments.
