RALEIGH, N.C. - The College Football Playoff Management Committee has appointed NC State Director of Athletics Boo Corrigan to the CFP Selection Committee, Executive Director Bill Hancock announced today.
Â
"It's an incredible honor to be appointed to the CFP Selection Committee and I'm grateful for the opportunity," said Corrigan. "The College Football Playoff holds a special place for the sport of football and I look forward to representing NC State on this committee."
Â
Corrigan will begin a three-year term this Spring. New appointees this year also include University of Kentucky AD Mitch Barnhart, University of Texas AD Chris Del Conte, Virginia Union University AD Joe Taylor and former University of Nebraska All-American Will Shields.
Â
"Mitch, Boo, Chris, Will and Joe will continue the integrity that has been the committee's hallmark through our seven seasons," Hancock said. "Their knowledge, experience and character, along with their love of the sport of college football, will make the transition seamless."
Â
Corrigan's appointment is another significant representation for NC State on the national landscape. NC State Chancellor Randy Woodson currently sits on the NCAA's Board of Governors with a term running through August of 2023.
