Wolfpack Has Solid Outing Against #3 Ole Miss

OXFORD, Miss. – NC State rounded up its solid opening weekend to 2021 Sunday with a team score of 4656 against #3 Ole Miss in Oxford. The Rebels bested NC State overall with a team score of 4708. A day after setting a new program record in air rifle, the Wolfpack's 2359 on Sunday ties for 10th all-time.
Travis Stockton had the highest individual finish for the Wolfpack, for the second-consecutive day. Stockton shot a 1166 aggregate score, just two shy of his personal best, for seventh overall. Stockton also had a team-high 595 in air rifle, marking the third consecutive outing he has posted a score of 590 or above.
Katie Torrence also had a breakout match for the Wolfpack, setting a career-high in smallbore, air rifle and aggregate.
Smallbore Notes
- Ben Salas matched his career-high, 572, which he set for the first time Saturday
- On his first series, John Peterson recorded one of the Wolfpack's two perfect series' of the day
- Torrence also posted a personal-best with a 572
