Two Doubles Pairs, Three Singles Returners Featured in Preseason Oracle ITA Rankings

TEMPE, Ariz. – A total of four Wolfpack players were featured in the season-opening Oracle ITA Division I National Singles and Doubles Rankings, as announced by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association on Wednesday. That number includes three players in the top 40 of the singles rankings and two top-20 doubles pairs.
Anna Rogers and Alana Smith enter the 2021 dual match season ranked as the nation's No. 2 doubles pair. Last season, the duo earned ITA All-America honors for the second year in a row following a 29-4 record and a 9-2 mark against ranked opponents.
Adriana Reami and Jaeda Daniel team to make up the nation's 16th-ranked duo. They ascended as high as No. 13 in last season's doubles rankings after putting together a 20-7 record and going a perfect 8-0 against ranked foes.
Smith checks in as the highest ranked singles player for the Pack at No. 23. In 2019-20, she reached a career-best No. 16 singles ranking and put together a 22-11 record mainly playing on court one.
Rogers enters her fifth year at NC State at No. 35 nationally after compiling a 23-8 singles record last season that included a perfect 6-0 record in conference play.
Reami follows just behind her at No. 38. Last season, her team-leading 27 singles wins pushed her over the 100 career victory mark, making her the first player in program history to reach that milestone. She earned nine singles wins over ranked opponents in 2019-20.
