RALEIGH – NC State women's basketball head coach Wes Moore announced Wednesday that assistant coach Erin Batth has been promoted to the role of Recruiting Coordinator on the Wolfpack coaching staff.
Batth has completed two seasons with the Pack after joining the staff as an assistant coach in June of 2018. She has played a major role in helping the program to some of the best results in 46 years of women's basketball at NC State.
Since she joined Moore's staff ahead of the 2018-19 season, the Wolfpack has compiled a 56-10 (.848) overall record, a 26-8 (.765) mark in conference games and two top-10 national finishes. In Batth's first season at NC State, the team advanced to its second-straight NCAA Sweet 16, and the squad won the 2020 ACC Tournament in its most recent campaign.
"We're excited to promote Erin to the position of Recruiting Coordinator for our program," said Moore. "She has been an instrumental part of our success each of the last two seasons. She is an outstanding mentor to our players and does a great job of building relationships with recruits, and I look forward to her continuing to have a major impact here at NC State."
Batth brought over 10 years of collegiate coaching experience with her when she arrived in Raleigh. She began her coaching career as an assistant for the 2004-05 VCU women's basketball team and was Virginia women's basketball's Director of Operations from 2007-10. Batth also made stops as an assistant at Towson (2010-12), Tennessee Tech (2012-14), Georgia State (2014-17) and Liberty (2017-18) before joining the Wolfpack.
A 2001 graduate from Clemson, Batth was a standout post player for the Tigers and was the first player in the team's history to be drafted into the WNBA. She played for the San Antonio Silver Stars and the Sacramento Monarchs and also spent time as an executive assistant for both the Monarchs and the NBA's Sacramento Kings.
Batth is a native of Marietta, Ga., and earned a bachelor's degree in psychology with a minor in management. She has one daughter, Sierra.
