RALEIGH – Lexie Barrier has been selected as the graduate manager for the NC State women's basketball team, as announced by head coach Wes Moore. Barrier comes to Raleigh after spending all four seasons of her collegiate playing career as a guard at James Madison.
"We're excited to have Lexie join the Wolfpack," said Moore. "She comes from a program that has a tradition of winning and doing things the right way. In her four years at James Madison, the team won over 100 games, and Lexie started every contest her final three years. I'm really looking forward to having her work with and mentor our players."
While with the Dukes, Barrier earned 96 starts in 127 appearances. She joined James Madison's 1,000-point club in November on her way to totaling 1,216 career points before the conclusion of the 2019-20 campaign. Barrier averaged 9.6 points, 3.9 rebounds and 1.9 assists and was a two-time All-CAA honoree.
"I'm incredibly excited to be working with the team this season," said Barrier. "There's so much talent and history in this program, so I just feel very grateful for the opportunity to learn and to be a part of it."
Barrier earned her undergraduate degree in Sport & Recreation Management from James Madison in May. She will pursue a Master's in Adult Education while at NC State.
