Gill Named NFF University Scholar-Athlete Award Recipient

RALEIGH – NC State punter Trenton Gill has been named a National Football Foundation (NFF) 2020 University Scholar-Athlete Award recipient, as announced by the organization on Monday.
In his first season as a starter in 2019, Gill set the Wolfpack single-season record for punting average with an ACC-leading mark of 47.6 yards per boot, a mark that was also third-best nationally.
A third-team All-ACC selection last fall, he graduated in 2020 with a degree in biological sciences.
The Hillsborough, N.C, native tallied 2,663 punting yards in 2019, good for the No. 11 season mark in school history.
