Ekwonu Ranked Among Top Three Highest Graded Returning ACC OTs

RALEIGH, N.C. – Rising sophomore Ikem Ekwonu was recently named among the top three highest graded returning offensive tackles in the ACC by Pro Football Focus (PFF).

Following the 2019 season, Ekwonu was named to the FWAA Freshman All-American Team after he started the last seven games of the season at left tackle as a true freshman.

He led the Wolfpack in pancake blocks last season with 37 in 12 games. The 6'4, 298-lb. Charlotte native was the first true freshman to start a game at offensive tackle for the Wolfpack since 2010 when he got the nod in Game 6 vs. Syracuse and ended up starting the last seven games of the season.

A second-team All-ACC choice of Pro Football Focus after the season, Ekwonu allowed just two sacks in 641 snaps during his rookie campaign.

He also earned a 3.4 GPA in management and was named to both named to the All-ACC Academic Team and NC State's Dean's List.
