Swimming and Diving Celebrates 2019-20 Season

RALEIGH, N.C. – The NC State men's and women's swimming and diving teams hosted their annual team banquet virtually, celebrating the 2019-20 seasons.
The men won their sixth consecutive ACC title and saw seven swimmers and one diver qualify for the NCAA Championships, and the women placed second at the conference championship, marking its fifth-straight team podium finish and second consecutive top-two finish. The Wolfpack women had 12 swimmers selected for the NCAA Championships, tying the program record for qualifiers set last season.

Bell Tower Freshman Award (awarded to freshmen that make the most impressive transition and contribution to the team in the first year)

Brickyard Most Improved Award (awarded to man and woman who has shown most improvement)
Women: Maddie Smith
Men: Luke Sobolewski
Iron Wolf Award (awarded to man and woman who has shown most improvement, shown dedication and team commitment in the weight room)

Red Legend Pride Award (awarded to the performance of the year)
Women: Sophie Hansson: 100-yard & 200-yard breaststroke titles at ACC Championships, finishing with the top times in the country
