Smith-Williams Selected by Washington Redskins in 2020 NFL Draft

Along with Murchison, NC State has now had 19 players drafted since 2016

RALEIGH, N.C. – Former Wolfpack defensive lineman James Smith-Williams was taken in the seventh round (No. 229 overall) of the 2020 NFL Draft by the Washington Redskins.

Along with Larrell Murchison being drafted in the fifth round by the Titans, NC State has now had 19 former players drafted since 2016, and six defensive lineman from NC State to be drafted over the last three years.

Smith-Williams was limited to seven games last season. He totaled 20 tackles and a sack while serving as a team captain.
