Stockton Joins 2020-21 Rifle Roster

RALEIGH, N.C. – NC State rifle head coach Emily Holsopple has announced the addition of Travis Stockton to the 2020-21 roster. Stockton joins the 2020-21 recruiting class which includes five newcomers - Lauren Crossley, Ben Salas, Katie Torrence and Roman Karadsheh.
"We are extremely excited to bring Travis into the program" said Holsopple. "He is a tremendous young man that brings success both in the range and the classroom to our team. We believe that Travis will make an immediate impact on our starting lineup and his leadership skills will help us take the next step as a program."
Stockton joins the Wolfpack with an accomplished resume including four academic All-State honors. He is a three-time Colorado State Junior Olympic Qualifier, including taking silver in men's air rifle in 2018. Additionally, Stockton helped his AMU team to the Air Rifle National Championship in 2018 and a silver medal in small bore. Stockton was named a 2018 Eley All-American in air rifle after taking sixth at the 2018 U.S. Jr. National Championships.
The NC State rifle team reached new heights in 2019-20, including recording five of the program's top-10 scores. The Pack reached a program-best No. 7 CRCA ranking in November which followed a team aggregate score of 4675, the second-highest score in school history. Head Coach Emily Holsopple is slated to return six athletes from the 2019-20 season including NCAA Qualifier Makenzie Sheffield and rising junior Emily Fisher.
