TEMPE, Ariz. -- The NC State women's tennis team is tabbed at No. 4 in this week's Oracle/ITA Division I rankings, good for the highest ranking in program history. It eclipses last week's No. 5 mark. Five players are featured in the individual rankings for the Pack.
The squad sits at 13-2 entering Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) play this weekend and has defeated two top-10 teams at the time of competition (No. 3 Georgia, No. 9 South Carolina).
Â
In doubles, Anna Rogers and Alana Smith check in as the highest ranked duo for the Pack at No. 2. The two have a 24-3 record together, including a 12-1 dual record. In the past five matches, the court one tandem has faced four ranked opponents and collected a 3-1 record in the category in that span.
Â
Rounding out the doubles rankings for the Pack is No. 13 Jaeda Daniel and Adriana Reami. The duo has yet to lose in dual competition (8-0) and has an impressive 8-0 record against ranked opponents, and moved up a spot for its new highest ranking.
Â
In singles, No. 16 Smith notched the highest ranking for the team and the highest ranking in her young career. The sophomore boasts a 10-2 record in dual matches with four of those matches coming against ranked opponents.
Â
Rogers stands at No. 32, jumping 11 spots from the previous rankings. The senior holds a 7-4 dual record this season.
Â
Reami checks in at No. 37. With a 12-2 record in dual play, the senior has been a steady court-three presence for the Pack.
Â
Liz Norman is the last ranked player at No. 98. The junior holds a 10-3 record in dual season.
