Men’s Soccer to Play in Spring Soccer Cup

RALEIGH, N.C. – This spring the NC State men's soccer team will be participating in the third annual Spring Soccer Cup, which will feature 10 of the elite programs in college soccer.
NC State will be taking part in the event for the first time.
"We are looking forward to this new format for us," said NC State head coach George Kiefer. "It will include three of the four teams that advanced to the College Cup this past season, and we look forward to participating against some very good competition here in the spring."
The 10 schools will be split into a North Division (Georgetown, Maryland, James Madison, Virginia and Virginia Tech), and a South Division (Clemson, Duke, NC State, North Carolina and Wake Forest).
Each program will play a round robin within its division throughout the spring season, which begins in late February.
The final weekend of action will be held on April 19, with all 10 schools traveling to Wake Forest for the final day of action at the Demon Deacons Spry Stadium. At the Spring Soccer Cup on April 19, the teams will play one playoff match against the coinciding seed from the opposite division.

Feb. 29 vs. Clemson
March 21 at North Carolina
March 28 at Wake Forest
April 3 vs. Duke
