RALEIGH – The NC State women's basketball team (22-1, 11-1 ACC) achieved its best national ranking since the 1999-2000 campaign with its move up to fourth in the Associated Press Top-25 Poll.
Monday's placement marks the program's best ranking since Jan. 10, 2000 when the Wolfpack was listed third to cap off six-straight weeks spent in the national top five.
The Pack has spent 10 weeks of the 2019-20 season ranked in the national top 10 in both the AP and USA Today polls. NC State has put together its best 23-game record in program history, surpassing 21-2 marks set in both 1977-78 and 2018-19.
NC State plays host to a top-10 conference matchup on Thursday evening as it welcomes No. 9 Louisville to Raleigh. Tip-off is set for 8 p.m. from inside Reynolds Coliseum, and the game will be televised nationally on the ACC Network. Tickets are still available for the game.
