NC State ends its fall season with four-straight wins
RALEIGH, N.C. – After sweeping the Hokies last night, NC State successfully downed Virginia Tech, Friday, to clinch the Pack's fourth-straight win. NC State (4-4) closes out the fall season winning its last nine consecutive sets thanks to Friday's sweep (25-15, 25-19, 25-10).
Jade Parchment continued to be a force on the floor with a match-high 15 kills and a .407 hitting percentage. It is the seventh-straight match in double-digits for the junior in addition to her 13 digs and two service aces. With her performance Friday evening, Parchment also surpassed 700 career kills which pushed her into the top-10 in the NC State rally scoring era for career kills.
"We've been trying to be disciplined all along," said Parchment. "And to finally see the consistency we've been looking for all along in our team, to get the outcome that we've been looking for, it really feels good to watch everything fall into place."
The NC State attack was extremely balanced with seven different players registering a kill, thanks to a solid distribution from setter Kristen McDaniel. McDaniel recorded 26 assists with eight digs and three blocks while leading NC State to a .289 team hitting percentage.
