
NC State Concludes Regular-Season Action Saturday at Virginia Tech

RALEIGH -- The No. 7/3 NC State men's and women's swimming and diving teams are set to face No. 25/NR Virginia Tech on Sat., Feb. 1 in its final meet before postseason competition. The Pack's conclusion to its two-meet road stint begins at 11 a.m.

PERFORMER OF THE WEEK:
Coleman Stewart was named the ACC Men's Swimmer of the Week after setting a pool record. The senior set the 100-yard backstroke mark at the University of Virginia Aquatic Center with a 45.65 clip. The All-American found the wall over two seconds ahead of the rest of the field.

Stewart swept all four events he competed in: 100-yard backstroke, 200-yard backstroke, 200-yard medley relay and 400-yard freestyle relay.

PACK IN THE POLLS:
The women's swimming and diving team is tabbed at No. 3 in the latest College Swimming & Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) Dual Meet Poll, which marks the highest ranking in program history for the women.

The women jumped three spots from the previous poll, which was released on December 11, to become the top-ranked squad in the ACC of five teams featured. The squad has not fallen outside the top seven during the 2019-20 season.

Additionally, the men check in at No. 7 as the highest-ranked ACC team, and have not wavered outside the top seven spots over the course of the 2019-20 season.
LAST TIME OUT:
The men's and women's squads set a combined three pools records as the men recorded their sixth consecutive dual meet win over Virginia, 169-131.
The women fell to the Cavaliers in the top-10 showdown, 173-127.
SCOUTING VIRGINIA TECH:
The Virginia Tech men enter the meet tabbed at No. 25, and have collected dual-meet wins over Ohio State, Penn State, George Washington, Queens and Virginia.

On the women's side, they have posted three dual-meet wins: George Washington, Queens and Richmond.
