Frazier Named to All-ACC Academic Team

GREENSBORO, N.C. – Redshirt sophomore Kaylee Frazier has been named to the All-ACC Academic team, as announced by the league office Wednesday afternoon. Frazier's selection marks the tenth consecutive year an NC State athlete has received the honor.
As a first-year libero, Frazier led the conference in digs per set with 4.28, a mark which ranks third in the rally-scoring era of the program. Frazier totaled 449 digs, ranking fifth in the conference despite missing four matches. Her 449 total digs are the eighth-most in the rally scoring era of the program.
Additionally, Frazier recorded two of the top three single-match dig performances in the ACC, including a career-high 38 digs at Duke on Nov. 10. Her 38 dig performance in a five-set match against Duke set a rally scoring era record and ranks third all-time in the history of the program. She concluded the season with a 34 dig performance at Boston College.
Frazier had her first career double-double with 21 digs and 10 assists against Appalachian State on Sept. 14 .
Academically, Frazier is a majoring in business administration and received Dean's List honors in the fall of 2019. The redshirt sophomore earned a 3.75 GPA last semester and has over a 3.7 cumulative GPA. Frazier helped the NC State volleyball team earn a 3.48 overall GPA last semester.
To be eligible for consideration, a student-athlete must have earned a 3.0 grade point average (GPA) for the previous semester and maintained a 3.0 cumulative average during their academic career. The selection is also based on a student-athlete's athletic performance.
