Pack Picked Seventh in ACC Preseason Poll

GREENSBORO, N.C. - The NC State softball team was picked to finish seventh in the 2020 ACC Preseason Coach's Poll, as voted on by the league's 13 head coaches. It is the highest NC State has been picked since the 2016 season.

Florida State was picked as the preseason favorites for the seventh consecutive year, tallying 10 first-place votes. The remaining first-place votes went to Virginia Tech (2) and Notre Dame (1).

NC State ended the 2019 season with five-consecutive wins, including upsetting the No. 1 seed Virginia Tech in the quarterfinals of the 2019 ACC Tournament. The Wolfpack return 10 letterwinners from last season, including All-ACC selection Sam Russ.

The 2020 season opens for NC State Feb. 7 at the NFCA Leadoff Classic where the Wolfpack is scheduled to take on three-straight top-25 opponents including Minnesota, Ole Miss and Kentucky.

Season tickets and single-game tickets are available here for all 34 home games at Dail Stadium. Season tickets are $50 while single-game tickets start at $7 each.
