Wolfpack Moves to No. 17 in Oracle/ITA Rankings

TEMPE, Ariz. - The NC State men's tennis team moved up six spots to No. 17 in the Oracle/ITA Rankings, as announced by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) Wednesday.

The move in the rankings comes after the Wolfpack's 4-0 start to the season. NC State recorded a pair of wins Saturday, Jan. 11 over Elon (7-0) and USC Upstate (7-0) in its season-opening doubleheader at the J.W. Isenhour Tennis Center.

The Wolfpack's first ranked win of the season came against then-No. 17 Michigan Wednesday, Jan. 15 by a 4-3 score before the team traveled to Northwestern Friday, Jan. 17, where it notched a 4-1 win.

The Wolfpack returns to action Saturday, Jan. 25 in Charlottesville, Va., as it participates in the 2020 ITA Kickoff Weekend. The team faces Utah State at 10 a.m. Jan. 25.
