Galarneau Named ACC Co-Player of the Week

GREENSBORO, N.C. - Senior Alexis Galarneau has been named the ACC Co-Player of the Week, as announced by the conference office Tuesday. Louisville's Tin Chen was also named ACC Co-Player of the Week.

The Laval, Canada native went 2-0 last week in the Wolfpack's two matches. Galarneau played a key role in the Wolfpack's victory over No. 17 Michigan on Wednesday, Jan. 15. At a point when the team score was at 3-2 in favor of the Wolverines, the senior knotted up the score with a 6-1, 3-6, 6-4 win over No. 78 Andrew Fenty.

Galarneau's win over Fenty was his first ranked win of the season and the week. In NC State's matchup with Northwestern, Galarneau defeated No. 123 Steven Forman 7-5, 6-0 to put the Wolfpack one away from clinching the match.

NC State will return to action at the 2020 ITA Kickoff, competing against Utah State Saturday, Jan. 25 at 10 a.m. and facing off against either Memphis or No. 10 Virginia Jan. 26
