
Women’s Soccer Closes Out Nonconference Play At East Carolina Wednesday

RALEIGH – NC State women's soccer (4-3-0) begins a four-game road swing Wednesday when it closes out nonconference play at East Carolina (3-3-1). Kickoff is slated for 7 p.m. from Johnson Stadium in Greenville, N.C., and the match will be streamed on ECUPirates.com.
SERIES HISTORY
Wednesday will be the ninth-time in program history that the teams have met, with the series tied at 3-3-2.
Last year, the Pirates traveled to Raleigh on Aug. 23, and the teams battled to a 1-1 draw. NC State has won the two meetings prior to.
LAST TIME OUT
Tziarra King scored her second career hat trick in the team's 3-1 win over Furman on Sunday afternoon. It was the third time this year NC State has netted three goals in a single game.
Ricci Walkling also hit a milestone in the contest with her 20th career assist.
Furman took a narrow lead in the 15th minute, but King quickly scored the equalizer and go-ahead goal in the 17th and 18th minutes. She additionally converted a penalty kick in the 50th minute to seal the win.
CLIMBING THE RECORD BOOKS
King's 40 career goals rank fifth in program history, and is two from settling in a tie for third in all-time scoring.
She also owns 94 career points, which puts her seventh all-time in the category.
Additionally, Walkling's 20 assists put her in a tie for ninth in the NCSU record books.

SCOUTING EAST CAROLINA
The Pirates collected a 1-0 win at Charlotte on Sunday in the last time out, the third victory in their last four matches.
Tori Riggs, Cashlin Copley and Grace Doran all lead the squad in scoring with two goals apiece, while five other players have found the back of the net this year.
Melanie Stiles has played a majority of this season in goal, compiling a 1.13 goals-against average (8 goals allowed) and .733 save percentage (22 saves). She and teammate Meaghan Haley have combined for three shutouts.
