
NC State Swimming and Diving Releases 2019-20 Slate

RALEIGH, N.C.– Head coach Braden Holloway announced the 2019-20 schedule for the NC State men's and women's swimming and diving teams on Thursday. The slate features two dual meets at home at the Willis R. Casey Aquatic Center, and the Pack will also host four teams for an invitational in Greensboro, N.C., in November.

NC State will kick off its season with its Fifth Annual Wolfpack Games, which will be held on Friday, Sept. 27 at 6 p.m. in conjunction with the program's Alumni Weekend. The event will include multiple ring ceremonies, as NC State will honor its men's and women's teams for winning ACC team titles in 2019 and will also present Andreas Vazaios with his national championship ring.
NC State's regular season starts at home on Oct. 25 as the Wolfpack welcomes South Carolina to Raleigh for a dual meet.
The Pack's first road test of the year will come Nov. 7-8 as the team makes the trip to Lexington, Ky., for a quad meet hosted by Kentucky. Missouri and Arkansas will also be competing that weekend.
The Pack will host the NC State/GAC Invitational at the Greensboro Aquatic Center from Nov. 21-23, with invited teams including Arizona State, Auburn, Duke and Wisconsin. The meet will be run in a championships-style format, with morning preliminary sessions and evening finals.
Rounding out the calendar year, NC State will head to Atlanta, Ga., for the 2019 Toyota U.S. Open. The championship meet, which will take place on the campus of Georgia Tech, will include a field of the nation's top swimmers who will be competing in long-course meters (LCM). Members of the Pack will continue to aim for qualifying times for the upcoming 2020 U.S. Olympic Team Trials.
Select NC State divers will get the chance to compete at the USA Diving Winter National Trials, with event details for the December event still to be announced.
NC State's divers will kick off the 2020 calendar year by heading to Athens, Ga., for the Georgia Diving Invitational from Jan. 3-5.
The weekend of Jan. 17-18 will be a busy one in the Triangle as the Wolfpack visits North Carolina (Jan. 17) and hosts Duke (Jan. 18) in the span of those two days.
NC State continues ACC competition with visits to Virginia (Jan. 24) and Virginia Tech (Feb. 1) on back-to-back weekends to close out the regular season.
The Wolfpack's postseason will begin with the 2020 ACC Swimming & Diving Championships events, which will once again be held at the Greensboro Aquatic Center. The women's swimming and diving and the men's diving competition will take place Feb. 19-22, with the men's swimming conference meet scheduled to be raced the following week from Feb. 26-29.
In 2019, NC State swept the conference titles for the second time in three years with both its men and its women coming home with team trophies. The Wolfpack women came back to Raleigh with 11 event titles, setting the program record for most single-season ACC titles. The Pack men won their fifth-straight ACC trophy, with every swimmer that competed for NC State scoring points for the team.
The NCAA Zone B Diving Championships will be hosted by Georgia and will run March 9-11, and the Pack's season will conclude with the 2020 NCAA Swimming & Diving Championships. The women's championship meet will be held in Athens from March 18-21, with the men in action in Indianapolis, Ind., from March 25-28.
