Nine Gymnasts Named WCGA Scholastic All-Americans

BOWLING GREEN, Ohio -- Nine Wolfpack gymnasts have been named Scholastic All-Americans by the Women's Collegiate Gymnastics Association (WCGA) for the 2018-19 academic year, as announced by the organization on Monday.

NC State valedictorian Maggie Tamburro collected her fourth All-America academic distinction.

Melissa Brooker and Hailey Mesmer were recognized for the third consecutive year, while Drew Grantham and Lauren Kent became two-time Scholastic All-American honorees. Victoria Prati and freshmen Meredith Robinson, Alexis Sheppard and Haley Zarett garnered the academic accolades for the first time.

To earn WCGA Scholastic All-America status, one must have a 3.5 overall grade point average or a 3.5 grade point average for the 2018-19 academic year.
