TALLINN, ESTONIA – Competing in his first international tournament, NC State R-Fr. Trent Hidlay brought home a bronze medal from the 2019 Junior World Championships in Estonia.
Competing in the medal match at 86 kg against Latvia's Ivars Samusonoks, Hidlay finished his tournament strong with a dominating 9-0 win. He scored a takedown in the first to go up 2-0 at the break, then added three more takedowns over the final three minutes to earn bronze.
At the Junior World Championships, Hidlay went 4-1 overall and outscored his foes 38-5.
