COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – For the sixth season in a row, NC State saw both its men's and its women's swimming and diving squads named Scholar All-America Teams for the Spring 2019 semester. The Wolfpack joined a record 480 institutions that were named to the list, as announced by the College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association (CSCAA).
The Wolfpack women compiled a 3.51 team grade point average (GPA) this past semester, while the Pack men posted a team GPA of 3.31 during Spring 2019.
In addition to the team recognition, 29 members of the Wolfpack squads were named Individual Scholar All-Americans. The number marks the most Scholar All-Americans for NC State under the leadership of head coach Braden Holloway.

The academic recognitions come after another historic athletic year for the Pack during which the teams both tied program-best finishes at the NCAA Championships. The women placed seventh overall, and the men secured their fourth team trophy and podium finish in a row with a fourth-place finish at the national meet.
NC State swept the 2019 ACC Championships team titles for the second time in three years, with the Pack men winning their fifth-straight conference crown.
"Coach Holloway continues to produce champions in the pool and in the classroom," said CSCAA Executive Director Greg Earhart.
The Wolfpack has seen one or both of its squads honored as CSCAA Scholar All-America Teams during each of Holloway's eight seasons at the helm of the program. The award is presented to swimming and diving programs across the country that have achieved a team GPA of 3.0 or higher in the most recent academic semester.
Individuals who were selected as Scholar All-Americans earned a GPA of 3.50 or higher and participated in the NCAA Swimming and Diving Championships. The honorable mention selections similarly achieved a GPA of 3.50 and earned a "B" time standard or competed at the NCAA Regional or Zone Diving qualifier.
