Moldovan and Rebol Earn All-ACC Academic Honors

GREENSBORO, N.C. – Seniors Bianca Moldovan and Amanda Rebol of NC State earned spots on the 2019 All-ACC Academic Women's Tennis Team, the conference office announced Friday.

Minimum academic requirements for selection to the All-ACC Academic Team are a 3.0 grade point average for the previous semester and a 3.0 cumulative average during one's undergraduate academic career. Athletic achievements during the most recent season are also considered in selecting the All-ACC Academic Team.

Moldovan posted a 27-16 singles record, a 21-7 singles dual record, and a 21-17 doubles record during the 2018-19 season. She tied for a team-high 11 singles wins in conference play, went on an 11-match winning streak during a stretch of February and into March, and posted a 2-1 record against ranked singles opponents. She concludes her NC State career ranking third in career doubles wins (79) and fourth in career singles wins (81).

Rebol went 30-13 in singles this season and tied for the most singles conference wins on the team with an 11-3 mark against ACC foes. With a three-set victory over Duke's Hannah Zhao on April 10, she set a new program with 88 career singles victories. She concludes her NC State career with 89 to exit as the winningest singles player in program history.
