Junior breaks school record in 5k that has remain untouched since 1983

CONCORD, Mass. – Ares Epps and Elly Henes of the NC State track and field team concluded competition at the 2019 Adrian Martinez Classic Thursday evening.
Henes set a new NC State program record in the 5,000-meter race with her time of 15:31.97. The prior mark of 15:33.43 was set by Betty Springs in 1983 and has been untouched since.
Epps finished the men's high performance 800-meter race in a personal-best time of 1:50.40.
