Eight Named to Athlon Sports’ 2019 All-ACC Team

RALEIGH, N.C. – The NC State football team had eight members appear on the Athlon Sports' 2019 All-ACC Team, the publication announced today.
Second-Team Defense
• S Jarius Morehead – Morehead is the top returning tackler (81) for the Pack in 2019, and he also boasts the most career starts (26) among all returnees. He led NC State with three interceptions last year, and was named ACC DB of the Week for the Marshall game after his 57-yard Pick Six in the win.
Second-Team Specialist
• PK Christopher Dunn – A second-team All-ACC performer last year as a true freshman, Dunn set the Wolfpack single season record for both field goals (21) and points scored in a single season (120). He ranked third in the ACC in scoring (9.2), and that mark was 11th-best in the FBS. He also led the ACC in field goal percentage, hitting .885 of his attempts (23-26), and made his last 15 of the season and all 51 extra point tries.
Third-Team Offense
• OL Joshua Fedd-Jackson – He started every game he played in last season at right guard, missing the regular season finale with injury, and tallied 34 knockdown blocks and did not allow a single sack on the season.
Third-Team Defense
• DL James Smith-Williams – In his first season as a starter, Smith-Williams tied for the team lead with six sacks and was second on the team with 9.5 tackles for loss.
Fourth-Team Offense
• RB Ricky Person, Jr. – Depsite missing four full games with injury as a freshman last season, Person was the second-leading rusher (471) and ranked third in 17 explosive plays. He totaled 108 rushing yards vs. Virginia and scored three touchdowns against Florida State.
• WR Emeka Emezie – Emezie leads all returning receivers with 66 career catches, including 53 last season in which he started 12 of the 13 contests.
• OL Justin Witt – The Wolfpack's starting right tackle last season, Witt saw action in 800 snaps which is the most action for any returning player in 2019.
Fourth-Team Defense
• DL Alim McNeill – A freshman All-American last season according to 247Sports.com, McNeill saw action from scrimmage in all 13 contests and started the Wake Forest contest. He totaled 3.5 sacks and 5.5 tackles for loss among his 24 stops on the season.
