NC State Cruises Past Clemson, 4-0

CLEMSON, S.C. – The No. 21 NC State men's tennis team closed out its weekend on the road with a victory over Clemson as it blanked the Tigers by a score of 4-0. The Wolfpack improves to 15-9 (6-4 ACC) with the win, while the Tigers fall to 8-15 (1-9 ACC) with the result.

"Good bounce back from our guys today," said head coach Kyle Spencer. "I'm really proud of how professional we were in attacking the doubles point and coming out in singles, competing intently and not dropping our level. We are looking forward to our last two matches in the ACC regular season at Duke on Wednesday and against Miami at home for Senior Day on Friday. Pack Risin'!"

NC State got off to a quick start, jumping out to early leads on all three doubles courts. The Wolfpack duo of Igor Saveljic and Ivan Saveljic did not drop a game on its way to a 6-0 victory over Pierre-Louis Dodens and Jacob Jahn.

Tadas Babelis and Georgiy Malyshev clinched the doubles point for the Wolfpack, defeating Teodor Guisca and Reed Rabideau in a 6-1 decision.

In singles play, the Wolfpack took the first sets on four of the six courts before going on to win three matches in straight sets. Yannai Barkai was the first member of the Pack to victory in singles as he defeated Dodens 6-2, 6-0.

No. 22 Alexis Galarneau won his first set 6-0 before going on to defeat Simon Baudry 6-0, 6-3.

Robert Turzak rounded out the Wolfpack's scoring, clinching the match with a 6-2, 6-4 win over Jahn.

UP NEXT
The Wolfpack will complete its road stretch on Wednesday with a trip to take on Duke before returning home for Senior Day and the final home match of the season against Miami on Friday.
